1. What we collect

When you use the Service we may collect:

• Email address — provided voluntarily when you create an API key, used to send your key and optional product updates.
• IP addresses — the source IP of API requests, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
• Usage logs — the IP addresses you look up and the endpoints you call, retained for 90 days.

2. How we use it

We use the data we collect to operate the Service, enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and improve data quality. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data retention

Usage logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. Email addresses and API keys are retained until you request deletion.

4. Third-party services

ResolvIP calls the following external services to enrich IP data:

• ip-api.com — geolocation and ASN data.
• rdap.org — RDAP registration data.
• Tor Project, Abuse.ch, Firehol — threat blocklists (downloaded on startup).
• AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudflare — official IP range lists (downloaded on startup).

These services may log the IP addresses we query on your behalf.

5. Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.

6. Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@resolvip.net.

7. Changes

We may update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email where we have your address.
